FAQ
Q1: How much weight can it handle?
A: These are designed for empty or lightly loaded containers only. 8,800 lbs per set (2 wheels). Ideal for empty 20ft and 40ft containers. Not designed for fully loaded containers:use professional caster systems for heavy loads.
Q2: Will it fit my container? 6-lug vs 8-lug?
A: Fits all standard ISO 20ft and 40ft container corner castings. 6-lug and 8-lug have the same load rating — the only difference is tire bolt pattern. 6-lug uses 6×5.5" (common Chevy/GMC), 8-lug uses 8×6.5".
Q3: Can it handle gravel, grass, or hills?
A: Terrain performance depends on the tires you mount. Use all-terrain or mud tires for rough ground, standard trailer tires for pavement.
Q4: How hard is installation? What tools do I need?
Installation takes 15-30 minutes with basic hand tools (wrench set, socket wrench). No welding or drilling required. Ratchet straps are included in every kit. Steps: lift container end, align spindle plate to corner casting holes, bolt through, mount wheel, secure with straps.
Q5: Do I need straps for safety?
A: Yes, ratchet straps are essential: they prevent the bracket from rotating if the container hits a bump. Tighten all bolts before each use and move at walking speed only.
Q6: Will it rust? What's the warranty?
A: Hub and wheel rim: powder-coated steel with rust-resistant primer. Spindle: forged alloy steel, heat-treated. Bearings:pre-greased tapered roller bearings, sealed and rated for full load capacity. Grease bearings regularly and touch up scratches. 12-month warranty — replacement or refund with photos.
Q7: Are tires included? What specs?
A: Kit includes spindle brackets only.Tires not include. Compatible with 6×5.5" bolt pattern, center bore ≥ 3.5 inches. We can also supply tires upon request.
